"I kissed a cow and I liked it'

For Brenna's preschool they took a field trip to a dairy farm.  Me and Ian decided to tag along too.  The kids loved seeing all the cows.  The kids were so good the whole time!  I was so proud of all of them.  Brenna even got a little brave and gave a few baby cows a pat on the head.  When they were all done they all got to enjoy a yummy treat that was came from cows....creamies!!!!

Ian was loving all the cows too!  He was so excited when he saw all those cows!!!

He decided to show this little calf how much he loved it.  This is right before he planted a big one the big wet nose of the calf.  Ian was just returning a favor because 2 seconds before this the calf gave him a big lick on the face.  It was so cute!!!

He tried to stop at every stall and pet every calf.  If he could have he would have been in the stall with them.

Aren't these little calves so cute?  Can you tell what our favorite part was?  The baby cows were just so cute!  I ran my camera battery dead (in defense, it wasn't as charged as I though it was) taking all the pictures of the calves.

I wanne be just like my sister!

Ian loves to do everything that his big sister does....including play dress-up.  Brenna left some of her play shoes downstairs and Ian was so excited when he found them.  He has a shoe fetish to begin with.  Anytime we get shoes out he has to help up put them on and he's always carrying shoes around the house.
He was trying so hard to get those shoes on.  It was quite the task since they had heels and were way too big.
He finally figured it out though.  Such a smart boy!!!!

Look at that pose!  So cute!!! I can't get in trouble for this either since he put them on himself.  Boys are so much fun....considering just an hour before this he was playing in the sand and dumping it all over himself (hence the naked baby).

Brenna's party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENNA!!!!
We had Brenna's birthday party today.  It was a blast!!  There were a lot of kids here.  I think just about everyone Brenna invited came, only one little girl didn't and that's because she got sick.  Brenna had a ton of fun and was so excited to see all her friends.

When the kids got here I had them all decorate their own crowns, since it was a princess party.  I did the crowns so that they could be for both boys and girls, since we had both princesses and princes in attendance.  They got to decorate them all by themselves and there were some pretty fancy crowns.  They all did a good job!
Here's a picture of some of them sporting their new crowns.  Don't they look wonderful!!
After they made their crowns we played a game where they popped balloons by jumping or sitting on them to see if they got a prize (of course someone rigged the game so every kids got some sort of a prize) and one lucky kid got the big prize.  My friend Ann Marie's little boy Jordan got the prize.  I wish I would have taken pictures of them popping the balloons.  It was way too cute!

Next we played pin the jewel on the crown.  I drew up a crown and then I let Brenna decorate it however she wanted.  I think she got tired of coloring it all in and then started drawing little pictures on it.  But I love it!  I would wear that crown any day!  I spun the kids around in circles and made them close their eyes.  They did so good at keeping their eyes closed.  Brenna's friend Sierra actually stuck the diamond right smack in the middle.
Next was Brenna's favorite part.  Present time!!!  She got lots of awesome presents from all her friends.  She was a very spoiled little girl.  She got a doll, some games, some movies, pixos, crayola color stuff, some clothes and from my second mom Debi a cake decorating set.  We're excited to try that one out!  She got a Didj game and a Tinkerbell game to go with it.  I'm excited for her to play it so she can learn lots and I can see how much she learns.  She also got a Vsmile Pocket so she made out good with video games.
I made Brenna's cake, like I usually do.  I did a crown shaped cupcake cake.  Now I am not the most artistic decorator but I think it turned out pretty good.  I was just glad you could tell it was crown.
She tried to blow out her candles but didn't get them all so her friends helped her blow them out.

She had a very happy birthday party!!  Thank you to all my friends and Brenna's friends  and family who helped celebrate this special day with her.  It's not everyday that my little girl turns 5.

Happy Birthday, Brenna!!!!

I can't believe it!!! My little girl is already 5?! Where or where has the time gone? I still remember when I found out I was pregnant with her, seeing her for the first time on the ultrasound and then finally bringing her home from the hospital.  She was a tiny thing, 5 lbs 14 oz. 19 inches long.  But she was the cutest baby ever!!!!  The nurses in the nursery agreed and she got the award for being the cutest baby in the nursery.  I have loved watching her grow and develop into her own person.  She is a spunky, fiesty little girl!!!  I think she got a little bit of attitude from me. =)  She is a very smart girl too!  Her preschool teacher is constantly amazed at how much she knows and she's always trying to find new things to challenge Brenna since she is so far ahead of her class.  She is a big helper to me with her brother too.  Lately, whenever he gets hurt he runs to Brenna for a hug better and she is happy to oblige.  Now, she's not perfect by far.  She is a drama queen and gets bent out of shape about the most miniscule things, but that goes with the territory of being a girl.  Even after her biggest tantrum she comes out of her room and says she's sorry and she loves us.  She is always giving me hugs and kisses.  I love my little girl!!!  She has been the greatest blessing to us.  Even though we hadn't planned on having her at the time we did, I am so glad we did!  She changed our lives so much and I am grateful everyday for her, even when she's being a stinker ;)

This is the Place!

While we were at Becca's wedding, we decided to walk around the park.  Brenna had a lot of fun looking in the little cabins.  Her favorite part was the train ride around the park.  Most everything was closed,  so we just walked around a little and looked in windows.  It was a beautiful day to walk around.  We'll have to go back one day when they have everything open, I think Brenna would have a blast with that.

Congrats Becca and Aaron!!!

Aaron and Becca got married on Saturday.  It was a beautiful ceremony...punctuated by shrill screeches from Ian.  They had it at the Pine Valley Chapel at This is the Place Heritage park.  Thank you for letting us share in your wonderful day!  I am so excited for them to start their new life together.

I didn't get many pictures because Ian was being a little stinker and the only thing that kept him occupied was to let him play with the camera, hence the wonderuful nostril shot =)

Another set of lovely pictures of my kids.  Ian wanted to get into everything so I stuck him in the stroller and he was not happy about it.  Brenna had fun playing until I wanted to take a picture of her and then she was a grouchy bum

Here is a happier picture before stinker mode set in.  I love my little guy!!!

I was getting some great pictures (insert sarcasm here).  Brenna looks like she might be stoned, which she wasn't.  But this was a super cute picture of Deakin, Dallas' little boy.  He is such a sweet little guy, so if he comes up missing one day....don't look at my house ;)

All in all, it was a good day!  Congrats once again you guys!!!

Brenna's new do!

Brenna got her first "short" haircut!  We have cut her hair a lot before this, but never this short.  I am a baby about cutting her hair so Daddy had to take her.  They were out shopping today for my Mother's Day present and she told her daddy she wanted to get her hair cut so they did.  We have tried to convince her to cut it short but she never will.  This picture doesn't do her justice.  She looks ADORABLE!  I'll take a better one when I can fix her hair and whatnot too.  I love it!

Also, I'm trying my hand at digital scrapbooking the pictures and stuff for my blog so forgive my first feeble attempt....I hope I can get better.  But I have found it takes more time than doing it on paper....and can cost a bunch too but I guess once you have them downloaded you can reuse them however much you want.  If you have any tips on how to do it, please feel free to share them!!
