Such a thoughtful hubby!!

My Christmas present this year was a day at the spa. Jason got me a prenatal spa package at Mindful Women Spa in Ogden. It was just what I needed. I was started out with a prenatal massage. That was very relaxing. I was thinking that when they do a massage you would be all exposed, which I am not a fan of, but they kept you covered the whole time. The only exposed parts were the part they were massaging at the time and they kept covered all the main parts you want covered. After the massage, they put an exfoliating rub on, which feels kinda like oil and sand mixed together. When that was finished I got to soak in a nice, warm milk bath for about 20 minutes. When I was finished my skin felt so soft and silky. Now I know why all those who can afford have a personal masseuse. When I was finished soaking it was time for my pedicure. I have never had a pedicure before so my feet feel very pampered right now and I got my toes painted a really bright red. It was a very nice relaxing morning. This was the first day in awhile that I didn't have a backache by the end of the day. I would highly recommend this to any of you who are pregnant or for when you do become pregnant.

Merry Christmas!!!

We had a fun Christmas this year. Brenna got lots of toys (I couldn't fit all of them in the shot, so there's more toys besides these). She has been wanting doll stuff so we got her doll size stroller, playpen, swing, high chair. She's so excited that she has things just like the baby and that she can do the same things that Mommy will be doing. She also got a new doll, some carebears, a Tinkerbell pillow, Tinkerbell movie, and lots of puzzles and games

Brenna wanted to have a new baby to take care of just like Mommy will have. I had Cabbage Patch dolls when I was little so I've kept it going with her and she's gotten one every year.

Brenna loves Carebears. It was hard finding one she doesn't already have but I actually manages to find 2!!
I spoiled Jason this year and got him a Wii.

I also tried my hand at making a homemade apple pie. I think for my first try it turned out pretty good. Sure, it wasn't the prettiest thing to look at, but it tasted pretty good. I've got cheesecakes, especially pumpkin cheesecake, down pretty good so now I'm on to the next step. I know this is a few days late, but MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! from the Hansen family.

Technical difficulties

Okay, so the computer had decided it doesn't like me right now. It won't let me load pictures onto the website. I can on other sites, no prob, but not here. I'll keep posting and working on getting pictures with them, so stay tuned for some cute pictures.

35 weeks!!

Yay!!! I only have a few more weeks to go!!! I am getting very anxious to meet our little guys and see how he fits into our family. I have a feeling he's going to be just his daddy.....he'll get in trouble and then give you that look and then you can't be mad at him. I'm hoping he'll be as good of a baby as Brenna was. My only complaint with her as a baby was she was always hungry so she never slept through the night, which means I never got to either. I am ready for him to come out. Life is getting a bit more uncomfortable now. By the time I finally get a comfortable posisitiont o sleep in at night, it's time for one my many nightly trips to the bathroom. I have no problems in the morning but by the afternoon he's settled down by my pelvic bone and it makes walking not so fun. I know I sound like I'm complaining but I am thankful for all of the discomfort because it means that I am able to carry a child and there are so many women out there who can't. It is wonderful feeling him move around inside me (except those times that he's getting my ribs or doing a full body stretch). I have been blessed with such a wonderful family and I can't wait to meet our new addition.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Brenna has been anxiously awaiting the snow. She was so excited when we got our first big snowfall, especially since there was just enough to go sledding. She had fun going sledding with her daddy, although she had to wait until Saturday when he was off work. She also got to help him plow the driveway with the four-wheeler. I think if I let her she would be outside sledding all day. She can even carry the sled up by herself and go down the hill by herself, which is good when she wants to go when daddy's not home since its tough for me to try to trudge up and down the hill. She has been having tons of fun trying to build snowmen, making snow angels, and eating the snow. We told her to stay away from the yellow snow. We had a snowball fight one day and she thought that was the coolest thing, even though it was pretty much me just throwing snow at her and her running around laughing. It was a blast!!!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Ever since Brenna saw them setting things up in the mall for Santa she has been bugging us to go and see him. We took her last Wednesday to see him. At first she was shy and wouldn't say anything but then she warmed up to him. She told him she wanted presents. I was thinking "Sweet! I can just wrap empty boxes and then she'll be happy. What a cheap Christmas." But then she got particular. She wants her Tinkerbell movie, CareBears, Dolls, and a Dora movie. I think she's going to have a fun Christmas. She just likes to open presents, she doesn't really care what is in them. She'll be just as excited for the socks that I got her as she will for the dolls. I know, I know, enjoy it while it lasts. I know in a few more years she'll be throwing fits that she didn't get what she wanted and she'll hate everything. I'm excited for this holiday season. Brenna had fun opening presents last year, but this year she understand a lotmore of what is going on so she's more excited. I can't wait to see how she reacts to what we get her. I'm also excited for Jason's reaction to his present. I really spoiled him this year. I can't write what I got him because he actually reads this once in awhile. We're having a competition to see who spoiled who more. I think I'm going to win, for once. Unlike most guys he actually does a really good job at picking out gifts, especially since I never really give him ideas. I usually say giftcards or scrapbook stuff. I know it sounds like I'm all caught up in the wordly aspect of presents and Santa but I'm really now. My favorite part about this season, which is something I wish could go on all year long, is how much everyone remembers our Savior. It's the one time of year that everyone (most everyone) won't get upset at the mention of Jesus. In general, people try to be better and for a moment the world isn't so bad, and then December 26th (my anniversary by the way hits) and everyone forgets about Him. Our Savior did so much for us and continues to do so much for us that we need to remember everyday what He did, not just the month of December. I know it sounds cliche but we need to keep Christmas with us all through the year. I say we all celebrate Christmas again in June, except we don't have to get presents because right about then is when most of us have just barely finished paying off our credits cards that were racked up from Christmas.

32 weeks!!!

Yay!! I'm coming on the final stretch!!! Only 8 weeks left. My due date is the 31st of January but since I am having a c-section again I will be going in on the 22nd. I had yet another doctor appointment today. Now I get to go every 2 weeks. Everything is going well. The baby's heartbeat sounds really strong and the rest of him is definately getting stronger. He is moving/kicking/flipping/stretching all the time. Jason was laughing at me yesterday during church as I was leaning to the side and trying to push a foot or at least try to block it from getting into my ribs. Our little guy is a night owl too. He does his fair share of moving during the day but once about 8:00pm hits he's all over the place and he's going most of the night. Whenever I wake up to go to the bathroom....again, he's still going. It's usually a bounce on my bladder that wakes me up. I know it sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not. I love being able to feel him moving around. It keeps me assured that he's healthy and growing.
