Not too crazy about my new haircut =P

Lately I've been saying I want to cut my hair. It was pretty long and a pain in the rear. So today I finally did it. I wanted it cut to just below the shoulders and instead it's above the shoulders. I just have to vent a little bit. I even told her where I wanted it to sit when it is dry, instead she cut it that length wet and so of course it's going to be shorter when it's dry. Grr!!! I'm not exactly crazy about it but i guess i'll have to live with it or wear a hat for a few months. And since I don't own any hats I guess my only option is to deal with it. The difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is about 2 weeks, or so I've heard. So here's a pic...not exactly the most flattering since Itook it myself and it's the end of the day and I didn't really do anything with it. Feel free to leave comments about whether you hate or like it and any cute ideas of how to style it since most of the ways I usually fix my hair work best with long hair. If you hate it please tell me...I'd rather walk around knowing I look funny then thinking I look cute when I don't. Hopefully It'll look better when I actually fix it. (I'm trying to be optimistic here)

Ready for church

We got Ian all spiffy for church and he looked so handsome, especially with his mohawk. Brenna is a little doll and loves to get her hair fixed in curls, but only on Sundays. I think I've got two of the cutest kids ever!!! Maybe they'll both be models or movie stars and make lots of money and take care of me and Jason when we're old.

Proud Papa

My dad (Papa) wasn't here when Ian was born because he was in North Dakota working. When he was done working he went out to see my sister and her kids in Arizona for a week so he didn't get to see Ian until he was about 3 weeks old. When he finally got here I think he was excited to meet his new grandson. My dad doesn't quite know what to do with newborns but once they start lughing and smiling he has lots of fun with them. I have a feeling Ian will be spending lots of time outside with Papa helping with his Harley or the four-wheeler.

Grandma and Grandpa Hansen came to town

We had Jason's parents come visit us last week. They got to meet their new grandson and spend lots of time with Brenna. She had a blast spending time with them. The day after they came Grandma took Brenna to storytime at the library. I showed up at the library a little later and when Brenna saw me she told me to leave and go back home. She was having lots of fun with Grandma.

The next day Brenna got to make Valentine cookies. Her favorite part was eating the dough and putting sprinkles all over the cookies when they were done.
She also learned how to put on a puppet show. She is very creative in making up her own stories.
Grandpa loves trains. He brought one of his trains and Brenna had a blast playing with it and making it go forward and backwards. Since she liked it so much Grandpa bought her her own train set.

Here's the first picture pf all four of us together. I love Brenna's big cheeser. Ian's already working on the "Wassup" hand wave. Hopefully we'll get some more pics of all of us done soon.

My Two Angels

I am seriously the luckiest girl. I have a wonderful husband who does everything he can to make sure we have what we need. I have been blessed with two wonderful, beautiful children. Brenna is the sweetest, and sassiest, little girl. She lightens up my day. Whenever I am feeling down, she comes and gives me a hug and kiss and tells me she loves me. She has the biggest heart and is friendly to everyone she meets. I have a new, sweet, little boy that lights up my life. He is only 2 weeks old but I already can't imagine life without him. I can't wait to watch him grown and see what kind of person he becomes. My life is so blessed right now!

My How Time Flies!!

Little Ian is already 2 weeks old! Holy Cow!!! He had his 2 week check-up yesterday. When we left the hospital he was 5 lbs 10 oz and 18 inches. He is now 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 20 inches. He's growing like a little weed. He also had his circumcision done yesterday (they don't do it in the hospital that I delivered in). It was heartbreaking hearing him cry. I didn't want to be in there so I went and sat in the waiting room but I could still hear him crying. He was a bit grumpy the rest of the day and wasn't a happy camper when I had to change his little bum. Poor little guy! But I am happy to say he is doing much better today and has been in a very good mood. He is staying awake for longer during the day and trying to make little noises at us. It's adorable.

Brenna has been such a big helper for me. She has been so patient. When I have to feed or change him and she wants something she is really good about waiting for me. She loves to hold her brother and whenever I have him laying on the couch or bed she comes and gives him kisses. Whenever she hears him crying she tries to comfort him. She's such a sweetie. She has adapted to the role of big sister really well.

We loved having Nana and Aunt Tasha visit with us the week after Ian was born. They spoiled Brenna rotten, I think I've finally got her back to normal now ;) It was so nice having them here. I love spending time with them and wish we could all be closer, but at least Tasha and her kids are a bit closer now that she's living in Arizona. Maybe in a few years we'll all be within a few hours of each other since Jason wants to eventually move down south. We weren't that close growing up but now that we're not fighting over who's wearing who's clothes we're all best friends. I don't know what I would do without them. I have a wonderful family who would do anything for you. I love you, Mom and Tasha!!!! Thank you for all your help, even if you did leave me a mess to clean up ;)

Tomorrow Jason's parents are coming to visit so Brenna's going to get spoiled again, so I'll be spending next week getting her back to being my sweet little girl again. Also, one of these days when I get feeling ambitious I'm going to take a bunch of cute pictures of my two little angels so stay tuned for that.
